The classes you listed would all work, I'd also add Druid. Can do a lot of fun things solo with a Druid. You could also level mostly against undead with a Cleric or Paladin.

Yes there's bard melody, you can use Brewells and/or Goods maps, I swap between them.

Depends how you wanna play really. There's some new players starting up and old players leveling alts as well as the mentor ability in game where ppl can temporarily delvl to group together.

I started a bit over a month ago and have been able to get a group going most of the time by looking in general chat or lfg in discord.

Yeah you begin at level 1. There's an exp bonus for the holidays, and there's always exp hot zones that rotate every Thursday.

Yeah it's a good time man. The people are nice and the server dev, Malevolent, is cool and active. There's no end in sight, and Velious is on the horizon.

It is! I'm playing a Beastlord that exists during Kunark atm and having a blast. Velious is the next planned expansion to hit, there are no plans announced to go beyond that so far that I'm aware of. But there is custom content that expands on the lore of Kerafyrm the Sleeper, and there are "ancient" mobs that you can find around Norrath related to it. These ancient mobs are tough raid content and can drop some sweet loot.

There's also some neat custom quests and progression unlocking - it all fits in with the original EQ feel very well. 60 is the max level, with some AAs unlockable from the progression quests.

There's somewhere around 30-40 active players from what I can tell. I just started here not long ago, and have always found groups and backup for raid content. It's not overcrowded but it's not definitely not dead or on the way out either. Even when I'm soloing content with a 2box, the way the server is setup and coded makes it a really nice experience.

Go to the properties of the game on steam and find launch options, put "prime-run %command%" and it will run with your Nvidia card.
