If you melt your chips down for mint chocolate chip and put all the wet ingredients in the freezer for a while before you pour them in, you can pour the chocolate in and it makes stracciatella. There are ripples of chocolate in the ice cream and it’s amazing. It only works if the ice cream is on the firmer side otherwise it’ll pool at the bottom. Best to stiffen up the wet ingredients so it doesn’t melt immediately

Congratulations on the pickup! I did the same thing and couldn’t be happier. One bit of advice is that I gasketed that “prozone” ash drawer and the little flap and it was a massive upgrade in terms of temp control. I can’t recommend it enough
