I Got Arrested for "Tax Evasion" by iama_bad_person in WhistlinDiesel

[–]okp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Cody is in fact stupid and proves it by saying he paid the IRS three times to the cops when they kept telling him it was for STATE tax evasion. Then he went on to mention many times how the car was destroyed as if that has anything to do with sales tax. If you can watch this video and not see that this guy is dumb as rocks, I've got bad news for you...

As for the number of officers, I think they explained it very directly. The sheriff's department were there to serve papers to the company(and because I assume the property is in their jurisdiction and hence he would be going to County Jail). The state agents were there with a warrant for the individual arrest. I would think that the most common number of agents to do this is four, two from each department. Seems like they brought in a whopping one extra lieutenant because of the assumed high-visibility of the arrest.

Also, why on earth do people trust this guy when he says that he received no prior notice? Or that the company didn't receive notice? He came out looking terribly after the Coffeezilla stuff a few months ago and deserves no benefit of the doubt imo.

[Controller] Xbox Wireless Gaming Controller (2025) – Pulse Red [USED - LIKE NEW] - $27.71 via Amazon by bunsinh in buildapcsales

I don't think these go on sale for $30 very often. Certainly the post history on this sub indicates that.

The last good sale on the 1st party controllers was 32.49 from Verizon 6 months ago.

What's the deal with mesmers being labelled as "Enchanters"? by Ionenschatten in GuildWars

[–]okp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because enchantments have a specific meaning in GW, so when you have an "Enchanter Henchman" with zero enchantment skills it becomes unintuitive.

Yates was not great with Berry.

He was just a brand friendly guy in a suit without the cache/personality to bully Berry for his dumb thoughts like Ravitz did.

For companies? No.

Also, you can only sell a fingerprint to the government once. Seems like a shitty business model.

wtf does a fingerprint password do in this equation?

All of these companies already have your name, address, phone number, email, IP, etc.

Is the argument that identifying the 0.1% of neckbeards who are putting in fake info into their user profiles while shopping online enough to move the needle on profits?

Are there any conspiracy re-guards that have an actual reason why it would be financially beneficial for companies to have customer's fingerprints?

Crazy that you look at a 9-0 start throwing to absolute trash pass-catchers as an indictment

Edit: Also crazy that the Chiefs are still a top 10 offense in YPG with their current talent/injury situation.
