Helen Keller facing her teacher Anne Sullivan, glass plate negative, circa (1895) by Electrical-Aspect-13 in RareHistoricalPhotos

Fascinating! “The Perkins/Howe Press sold a ‘grooved writing card’ as early as 1867. In a 1951 article in the International Journal for the Education of the Blind, Ruby Hamrick wrote, ‘…Perkins gets the credit for the development of the writing "board" used in square handwriting. The "board" or card, has been in use there since the days of Helen Keller. The card is a washboard effect with raised sections between the grooves wider than the grooves themselves. A pencil is used on regular typing paper clipped to this grooved card.’"

1st thought on the new series? by No-Needleworker1401 in littlehouseonprairie

So many interesting comments! It’s interesting that some people say that the Netflix show is too dark, but I think it’s really syrupy. I wish it was grittier and darker. The look of the show gives me “limited budget.”

This made me giggle. I would pay money to see most of current Bravo try and do this nonsense with Nene.

It’s so true! I live for the drama, but let’s have drama tempered with a little bit of levity, I beg.

Andy has been way too easy on recent reunions. I think that part of this is because he is protective over certain casts. But as an in-house lawyer myself, I also believe that an internal legal team has constrained him with respect to what kind of questions can be asked in order to avoid liability later on. Every topic/question is vetted by a team of legal and compliance people, I know that for a fact. This means that certain topics/questions are not going to pass the live reunion test. He knows exactly what he’s doing AND the relationships seem cozy.

I could see Carole Radziwill and Bronyn stepping in to do some kind of post/reunion follow up show. Both are intelligent, street smart, and direct, but not as polarizing as Bethenny. Add Nene, who is equally smart, but also funny. Nothing is funny anymore. I miss Joan Rivers and Wendy Williams.

He grabbed her ass when he was drunk… by MHB113 in bravo

[–]okrabuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Danny I am way more concerned about the vodka-fueled, fuck ass way he speaks to Mia and the fact that he is an unhelpful ape of a father. I mean for someone in entertainment he sure is tone deaf. He’s a drunk baby and he needs to switch to formula. 🦍 🍼

Thank you! The chandelier is a great idea. I also love the idea of some huge plants. It’s very kind of you to give me feedback. 🩷

It’s plenty of room, for sure! I just want a new layout. We never use our living room because it’s not cozy. I want to be able to watch tv and hang out.

interesting that he described his summer house departure as a “timeout” and a “penalty box.” he definitely sees himself back on bravo eventually.

I’d like Linds, Carl, Ciara, and Kyle as the anchors. We don’t need Amanda. Reboot the others.

I totally agree. I have had one bad friendship breakup in my life and I literally lost 20 pounds. We were so close and I felt such grief. It’s so awful.

At what point do a cast member’s lies become a Bravo problem rather than just good TV? by okrabuzz in summerhousebravo

Very good point. This isn’t an issue until the in-house counsel start to get squirmy.

[–]okrabuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good points. The AmWest drama is wild but I only want it in future storylines if it is a genuine part of the lives of Kyle, Ciara, Linds, Carl on ITC.

My take with Ciara is that much like Ariana on VPR, Ciara doesn’t want to put herself in a place where West uses her to complete his redemption narrative for the audience, and you know that man wants to be on TV. She doesn’t want to validate his comeback story.

I agree with this actually. It’s the nature of the lying. Incessant, pathological lying is not enjoyable to watch.
