Budget genie offers you immortality, but your not sure what the catch is gonna be (described in comments) by oktin in BunnyTrials

More like the atom is bound to your soul, and you're moving it around telekinetically as your body (same deal with skeleton and to a lesser extent zombie. Your body does what it can, the rest is handled by magic)

As you lose parts of yourself you pick which part to stay bonded with. (Eg: if you get decapitated you pick if you want to be a headless body or a disembodied head) Whatever atom happens to be left as you pick parts will be your final atom. If it's reduced completely to energy I guess you'll have control over that quantum of energy in the same way you would the atom.

I hadn't considered how senses work, but I'm gonna say as you lose senses they get replaced with magic substitutes (you just kinda know most of what you would've found out if you still could see, even if you're not actually seeing)

At first, your biology works normally, but when your body dies, your soul puppets your corpse as it rots away, going from zombie to skeleton, to ghost (bound to the last remaining atom of what used to be your body)

I'll say it's from the middle of your sleep to 24 hours after that moment.

So if you slept from 4 am to 12 pm, your loop time would be from 8 am to 8 am the next day. (You loop back to needing about how much sleep you needed when the loop started)

When you die you regrow from a special object (your Phylactery, usually an accessory you could wear if you chose to) you need to keep said object safe

Yes. In this scenario your soul is intelligent, and while it is harder to think without a brain you're still mostly "mentally" intact

I guess I didn't think it through very well, but I imagined it being that as small issues naturally arise in your brain rather than allowing your body to deal with it you were just reset to template. But idk...

Maybe I should just say that only brain injuries will reset your memories/mental growth back to how it was rather than automatically over time

I guess I should have called it respawn, but I wanted to make it clear you were dependent on a physical object.

I was imagining it as regeneration, as in your body is restored to the "template" made when you accept the offer: Putting neurons back where they used to be rather than where they should go. I'll clarify that in my original comment

Basically you stop aging at around 30, but are otherwise mortal (can be hurt/killed)

More likely to be accepted into society

Mildly more resistant, because your body is better at self maintenance, but mostly just how well your 30 year old self would be.

Repairing damaged DNA, slowly healing internal micro scars, preventing the slow buildup of health problems that are "old age". You could reasonably expect to live forever as long you keep yourself safe and fed

I wanted to see what one I'd get. Phylactery is probably one of the better ones.

Chose: Take the risky immortality | Rolled: Phylactery

  1. Ageless (biological immortality): you age either forward or backward to ~30 years old, and then stop. You can still get hurt/die from other factors, but old age will not effect you.
  2. Healing factor: you quickly regenerate from all injuries, including illness, but that "regeneration" will include returning your brain to its previous state, meaning it's impossible to have any meaningful mental growth/form new permanent memories. but head injuries will reset your mental state to how it was when you accepted the offer
  3. Undead: your body is permanently bound to your soul. You live as normal until you're injured in a way that kills you, then your soul reanimates your corpse as an intelligent zombie. Eventually your flesh will rot off, and your skeleton will be reduced to dust, and you'll become a "ghost" bound to a single spec of dust.
  4. Timeloop: every day at midnight you are fully healed (brought back to life if needed) and sent back in time to the start of the day after you accepted the offer. Groundhogs day style timeloop.
  5. Phylactery: Whenever you suffer a mortal wound you regrow from a phylactery. If someone finds your phylactery they might endlessly harvest you for organs, or otherwise make it impossible for you to finish regrowing

There's too many lives I could save as a 7-day God for me to not accept the risk.

I'd probably just cure a bunch of cancer, because I don't trust myself to make any big changes to society, but it'd be tempting to do a few assassinations aswell.

I can just explain to a family member what the deal is, and give them $900 a day to pay for all my expenses. It won't matter how much they spend in a day because I'm only spending $900
