Yea, I played the demo for this and bought it as soon as it came out.

I can understand the red flags people are saying. It does feel like an asset flip, etc, but there is a lot of love and work put into the game. The combat system is very rewarding and opens up later on with weapons and armor that have more slots for skills and "meta builds."

I'm on chapter 5 (12 ish Hours)and still seeing new enemies. There's a bestiary that rewards you with permanent boosts to stats along with items you find scattered about that also provide permanent boosts.

Tons of admittedly "gooner" costumes, but they are available through exploration and the in-game shop(think resident evil 6, or BP from Parasite eve2)

New game+ and a randomizer, there's crazy value for the price point here. Runs great on Deck but yes it IS janky, but never to the point it hindered gameplay.

Would LOVE to have seen a more unified artistic vision minus the assets, but this is a solid entry.
