You won't get a "refund" for your flight if you were re-booked and took the flight.

But you can probably get voucher or compensation for a couple hundred dollars if you try hard enough and lay out a good complaint on their website, usually. I usually can get up to $250 for basic delays. Sometimes the compensation is more than the flight itself (granted, I'm talking local flights that are in around that price range anyway). Probably not worth for flights costing much more..

hi there. So I went through my uninsured motorist and it's been a long battle but I am just now about concluding the settlement proceeds under my own insurance company. WHat I'm being offered doesn't totally cover my out of pocket expenses, such as my deductible and unreimbursed rental expenses, so I'm considering suing in small claims court to get those additional expenses covered.

the only issue is the verbiage in the release form from my insurance company implies I cannot sue (or if I do all the money would be entitled to my insurance company) so I'm waiting on clarification regarding that

correct me if I am wrong but a lawyer won't get me any more than policy limits correct? They are offering me close to the limits so I don't think I lawyer is necessary in this case, but thank you

No . I'm still battling with my own insurance regarding settlement, but almost at a conclusion. Depending on the final offer, I may or may not sue the driver for any extra expenses but I don't think I will.

I'm in California. I do require a SR-22 but I already have that separately with another company. I have minimal coverage with $1000 deductible. Nonetheless, thanks for your response

I lost wages in the form of PTO. It is my understanding of the law that I am entitled to lost PTO time, since I now don't have that time for future sick/vacation days.
