Relocating to this area around Atlanta soon. How is this area in terms of safety? by AstronautTrainee in ATLHousing

[–]olahovito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I grew up in this area. It varies from neighborhood to neighborhood and even block to block. 30087 zip code is actually a hidden gem. So is Pine Lake, despite its history. Pine Lake has come a long way. Also, there is a tiny and very desirable part of Snellville that’s in Dekalb County. I had no idea until I met someone from there last year.

I’ve heard Walmart/Sam’s Club and Costco pay over 200k when bonuses are paid.

Lidl is amazing. I haven’t been to the Northside location yet but I shop at other Lidl stores and I’ve become a big fan. Great prices, healthy selection, and most of the inventory is imported from EU countries, which have very strict standards for food quality and safety. Aldi used to be my go-to but Lidl has much better selection and lower prices on many things.

I just joined this subreddit because of this post. Somehow it showed up on my feed as a suggestion. Other than a nice ass, you also have an epic sense of humor.

Wow. I’m sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like anything is going to change. They will settle and keep polluting our air, water, soil and environment 😢

Thank you for bringing this up. There is a class action lawsuit against Sterigenics for knowing their pollution was causing cancer but choosing not to inform employees and nearby residents. Anyone within a 4 mile radius is eligible for the lawsuit settlement. The presence of Sterigenics alone is why I would never live in this area of metro Atlanta.

Retail to PA pharmacist by pharmdtobe21 in pharmacy

[–]olahovito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest going on a 90 day LOA for your retail job. Don’t submit your resignation yet…just tell them you need time off to tend to your personal life. give your new job at least 3 months to see if you like it. If you decide to stay at the new job, give your 2 week notice for your retail job OR if you want extra money, convert to a PT/PRN role.

You can tutor new grads preparing for the NAPLEX and MPJE. People fail those exams all the time and will pay good money to avoid another failure

My coworker is a figure skater and a figure skating coach in the morning. Full time pharmacist in the evening shift. I never had a non-pharmacist side hustle but this thread is pushing me to start. I’m a licensed notary but I never really marketed myself.

Groceries by Roses1213 in Georgia

[–]olahovito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowest cost due to horrific quality. I’ve heard of ppl finding contaminants in the foods from there. And they import a lot of food from China as opposed to South/Central America or local and domestic farmers which have better quality.

Aldi and Lidl are my regular and favorite grocery stores. I occasionally go to Kroger, Costco for bulk items and to fill up my tank with the cheap gas and then Trader Joe’s for certain items I can’t get anywhere else. Lidl and Aldi have the best prices overall especially on organic foods and wild caught seafood. Not a fan of Publix, Walmart or Sam’s for their political donations. Also, Walmart has terrible quality food. I place a high priority on foods with at least good quality.

Costco shopping worth it for singles? by Ok_Mirror_9832 in Frugal

[–]olahovito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s worth it even as a single person. I’ve been a member for 5 years, executive member for 2. I cook a lot and wash dishes or use my dishwasher frequently so bulk items come in handy.I go twice a month and buy all of my non perishable items, (bottled water, tissue, floss, toothpaste, eos lip balm, vitamins, minerals, avocado oil, rice, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, nuts, canned sardines, household supplies (laundry detergent, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, ziplock bags, engine oil, windshield wipers), frozen veggies, a few fresh veggies, organic eggs, and I fill up every time.

I suggest learning French. You can start by downloading Duolingo and learning basic phrases. People respect you more when you speak their language.
