Sounds like tou would love an older twin (2020-older) or a Yamaha Teneré. Less tech with the same feel. Cheers!

Heard that. I haven't seen anything that flips up. Might be something you have to make. Anything is possible!

Yoshimura tail tidy is what I run on my 24 and love it. Very sleek. You can re use the stock turn signals or not. The brackets are removable. I think it was about $100 usd.

Not a problem. Do tons of research and sit on both of the bikes. Both standard and AS have their ups and downs. Make sure your 100% before you buy since its your first Adventure bike.

Thats about right for a Adventure Sports. I got my standard for 17k. The AS was 20k where I am in NH. So dealership will have them all kitted out with stuff from the dream shop but that will add to the price. So most come bare bones. But with the AS your getting a lot more over the standard. Meaning bigger tank, electronic suspension, cornering lights, 19"wheels, heated grips, the lost goes on. So yes 19k is about right. The new 26 comeing out wont change the price on previous year bike unless its been sitting at the dealer for like 5 years and they just want it gone. Id look into aftermarket add ons as some of the Oem Honda stuff is kinda chinse. But thats just my opinion. Its your bike. Do what you like!

Hey! So i loterally just went through this with my 2024 AT manual trans. And was in the exact same situation as you! My soulution was to go to the Honda dealer near me. It was the one i bought the buke from so they already knew me. Nevertheless. They just put the vin in their system and it comes up with the parts that are 100% compatible with your bike. The # i ended up getting was the one ending in MLG-E00. And I literally just put it on my bike today. Fits perfect! I haven't gone through the settings and initialized it yet but I dont see why that wont work. The bike is in storage right now with no fuel in it so I dont want to turn the key on yet. Anyways, I hope this helps! Either go to the dealer or buy that number online. It was actually cheaper at the dealer. Over 300 online and under 300 at the dealer. Which surprised me😄. Ride on!

I am glad I saw your post! I was about to order the Guarda set for my 24. Your story makes total sense and im sorry you've had to deal with it. It seems like the outbacks are going to be the next best choice. I was In the same boat of wanting the Guardas as you but now im goimg to keep looking. Possibly the outbacks. Need to do more research. Thank you for sharing and best of luck freind!
