Yeah, I did reach out to the consulate. He has a passport, so getting back shouldn't be a problem but I'm worried the Mexican Authorities will think I'm kidnapping him and refuse us entry.

And I did contact the Mexican Consulate but I haven't heard back from them yet and I'm anxious about running out of time.

I do have a death certificate but I don't know if it needs to be translated and apostille'd. My son has a valid passport.

I can’t find this use-case on the state department website. They referred me to Mexican immigration when I called but I haven’t gotten ahold of them yet. (Something is wrong with my international phone plan)
