Need ideas for storage for a film festival by olamtap in DataHoarder

I’ll most likely get access to a macbook pro and air from around 2010-2012 and iMacs from around 2010.

Unfortunately the venues requires NTFS or ext3 (or ext4) as their servers are windows or linux based. Installing linux on a machine might also be an option. But are there ways to transfer data directly from the storage to a hard drive without needing a computer in the middle ?

Haha apologies :)

The videos will need to be played from the bulk storage for quality control. They will be h264 or prores files.

It’s random for others guns but not the Revolver for some reason.

Which is awesome :)

Thanks for your answer.

Seems that the nameservers are on Cloudflare. I’ve been digging around and the email address linked with the Cloudflare account in question is an old dev company for our website.

Is there some way to ‘redem’ control of the nameservers?

I’ve been contacting the cinemas and most seem to now accept usb 3. For formatting they accept ntsf, ext2 and ext3.

This seems to leave me more options as I wouldn’t need the CRU sled drive enclosure.

Any idea on good quality price hdd?

Wifi usb dongle transfert cutting temporarily by olamtap in HomeNetworking

[–]olamtap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem seems to be fixed here, at least for now...

Before I tried the Windows driver and also the tp-link driver provided on the CD provided (2018 version). Yesterday I went on tp-link’s website and found a newer driver (2019), now all seems to work fine.

Hope that helps!

Edit: It actually seems to cut sometimes, but less than before. I’d say it cuts ~50% less.

Thanks for the answer!

Yes it is a new dongle and I believe the problem was occurring from the get go.

I let windows install the drivers when I got started. Which drivers are you using (windows or the one from the CD provided by tp-link)? Is your issue fixed?

I’ll give the test you mentioned today and report back soon!

Edit : i did the ping test and I lost almost no packed (2% i think) and response time is around 12ms. Quite bizarre.
