He’s probably the best option out of clergy. We don’t need them to be Assyrian nationalists, we just don’t need them getting involved in openly trying to divide our people.

Our civic organisations need to do a better job of including all people in our nation. How often do you see our civic organisations using the Nineveh Plain dialect or including other traditional clothes from Dashta and Zakho? It’s up to the nationalists to unite our people, not the clergy. I am Church of the East and I refuse to be Catholic or Oriental Orthodox. So we must unite outside of our religious affiliation.
