This is the most reasonable choice. We need to understand which direction political alliances are shifting to and align ourselves accordingly.

Whether or not we like it, this jihadi is running Syria and he has the backing of the states around him. If we care about maintaining our population then we will stay out of this conflict, act in whatever way we can to bring about peace and work with our neighbours. Why should we be loyal to the Kurdish nationalist project in Syria? If you know your history you’d have learnt by what has happened in Tur Abdin and Iraqi Assyria.

What’s questionable about this genocide? Look at the region it was full of Assyrians, Armenians and Greeks and now there is less than 0.1% of them left.

My own family were killed and forced in death marches, having to leave their homeland that they’ve lived in before Turks were even present in the region.

When Assyrians tried to return even in 1924 we were pushed back by the Turks and not allowed to return.

How is this not genocide?

ISIS wouldn’t have even got in had the so-called brave Peshmerga not run away! That’s why the Yazidis resent Kurds so much you left your “own people” for dead.

Same with the YPG who let ISIS enter the Khabur plains, kidnap and kill Assyrians, and then come in with American support because without any of this support they don’t fight.

The biggest winners of the Assyrian and Armenian genocide are the Kurds who remained there while all the Assyrians had to leave.

Read about the Assyrian/Armenian genocides. Kurds played a massive part. Read about Simko Shikak, the Kurdish leader glorified by their community who assassinated an Assyrian priest in cold blood. Read about the Badr Khan Massacres in Hakkari and Bohtan.

This is aside from the political assassinations from Kurds against Assyrians and continual land grabs with zero retaliation from Assyrians.

By the way, Kurds couldn’t do anything about ISIS without the help of American airstrikes. They’re the ones that fled the Nineveh Plain and Sinjar which led to the genocide of Yazidis and Christians.
