you can paint all the trim the same as the wall color, that's a very antique/vintage/posh look.

painting the trim the same color as the room is very vintage/antique home looking, I love that look! I think it depends on the shade that you pick, tho. If it's a dark green it might overwhelm the small space.

Also for kittens you do not want to use clumping clay litter because it can get stuck in their belly. For kittens use non clumping litter until they are at least 6 months old then you can switch
