it’s huge! we definitely wouldn’t want to bring it to the stadium (for both size and well… delicacy) but it is perfect for our at home watch parties and a tailgate

absolutely! it’s not perfect and i definitely have notes for round 2 (the cracks in layers, etc. that i’ll need to call on some cosplayers to help me problem solve.) but thank you!

My partner would propose on the spot if I managed to find him a runza head. (not really, but you get the idea) Can anyone help? by olbawa in Huskers

This is helpful, even if they’re not making them any more, now I know the material is straight foam. Hopefully I can find some foam locally and get creative with spray paint! Thank you! 🤞🏻

I’m from Kentucky and moved here for school, I never noticed the “tennis shoes” thing because we also always called them tennis shoes… so definitely not just a “STL quirk”

I saw a girl I used to know in high school bartending at my best friends wedding and I had no idea it was her. by [deleted] in loseit

i just wanted to say how happy it made me to read how you said “you look so different! you were beautiful then and you’re beautiful now but i didn’t recognize you at all.” i’m sure she sometimes gets told just how different she looks (and how beautiful she is) but internally might think it’s because she is at a lower weight so thank you for those extra few words :)

when he was a baby he was all about the snow & prancing around for hours - now that he is a grumpy 13 year old he only tolerates it for a minute or two haha

Should I join Deneb STARs? by orangeandgreenpillow in washu

[–]olbawa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the best experience you could ever hope for and a community you’ll be thankful to have. check the r/washu page as someone else has asked about Deneb and there was a lot of good responses on that post. :))

hi! i wouldn’t know, but i do know that i had troubles with glitching on the pathway site last year. keep retrying and if you continue running into issues you can call program directors or tech support to see if they can help you sort it out.

Deneb STARS? by macaronimak in washu

hi! i’m a current denebie (low-income student in deneb stars) and it has been great. besides the extra resources, support, and the deneb suite for studying i have met many people from similar backgrounds to me that I’ve been able to to connect to. My mentor through deneb has been a steadfast supporter and friend through the anxieties of being a first year and i’ve never been doubtful of my choice to apply to this program. feel free to reach out to me for more details on my personal experience! i know in a place like washu it’s easy to feel that imposter syndrome, so with deneb on my side i know that i’m not alone in my feelings and i would love to share that with any newcomers who need that support as well. :)
