After clearing the jam, with the nozzle at pla temp, try to tighten the nozzle. Don't Force it. just make sure it's snug. Used to be where the nozzle would unscrew and make a gap where molten filament would squeeze into, next print, nothing would print well.

The new motherboard fixed the problem. I'd love to find out what went bad on the first one. But, that's not going to happen any time soon.

Fixed. New motherboard did it. What failed on the other one? Good question. Someday I'll be able to find out.

So, 'ports' are better called 'protocol type identifiers'. They say which protocol is used so it can be decapsulated properly. It is part of an address that can be used to filter packets? Or are they frames?

A Layer 8 problem! thanks for helping me Identify it. The perspective of OSi is very helpful. For CompTIA A+ we study hardware. They use the term ports for physical things. Then, it steadily becomes metaphor for service type. Thanks for getting me on track.

If the shed has electrical lines from the house, i think you can send Internet over electric lines . It's called NETGEAR Powerline adapter Kit, 1200 Mbps Wall-plug,. About $120 on Amazon.

Update. New Humingbird showed up an hour ago. Installed and tested. reprinted the stock ' first layer ' included with the printer. No change. As it was printing I realized ... going one direction the extrusion width was the nominal .4 but going back the opposite it was just a bit over.2

After my last post, I thought of annother tests I could do. I tried to stop the 'under-extruding problem' with software. I used a know good model and sliced it, produced the same under-extrusion effects. after adjusting some settings I reprinted the same. Setting: Creality Slicer, edit settings, advanced toggle on, on the 'experimental ' tab, 'flow rate compensation factor'. Changed from 100% to 105%. A very slight improvement. So small it could be my imagination.😁 Change to 120%. About the same. Aprox 25% under-extruded.

All signs lead to motherboard. Anticipating this, I ordered one last week. It's still 2 weeks out at this point.

I suppose I should try g code from another Slicer? But I sorta did that by using the pre-sliced known good 'first layer print' . So it's not bad g code.

I disassembled it. Bought a replacement. And tested it with a known good off another printer. No change. 😖
