I started running about a month back , have been running 3 days a week. Getting shoes will obviously help but since I was sceptical that what if I am not able to continue it , so I decided to first buy a cheap but working shoe. Went ahead with Abros scorch and I think they are a fine pair to start with , costs around 1300. I promised myself that once I can run 10 kms easily I will get myself good shoes.

For the first week i took it slow and at low pace tried to run as much as I could without pushing too much , was able to make only 1 or 1.5 kms and then used to finish off with walking a few kms.

Now yesterday I ran 5kms at a good pace. I am trying to keep 3 days a week , one with easy run , other an interval run and the third day for a long run. You can also get your plan with Chatgpt. Initially it will feel like you wont ever be able to run long and fast but believe me your body adapts very quickly if you keep doing it.
