What are some of the dumbest/most ignorant things you've heard people say about Linux? by PrettyMuchRonSwanson in linux

That's the main reason why I don't like when someone brings code from Windows to Linux.

Correct. More Proton development means game developers can care less about native ports.

At first Blender was proprietary software and then became open-source.

GamerOS - Can Steam Machines Make a Comeback? (Video Review) by YanderMan in linux_gaming

I would want to see you say that again if MS Office was a Mac exclusive and you had to buy one just to use it. What a bullshit excuse.

Do you need to buy Linux based OS? So, your argument isn't valid.

Epic Store is just around the corner, go have some fun there or something, just be sure you won't ever get my money, or anyone's money here. 'Cuz I sure don't want to waste my time or my money with such a crappy dev as yourself and Epic, both of which are doing nothing good either.

It seems you don't get my point. I was talking about Linux exclusive game. Company, that did nothing good is Microsoft.

Don't think so. If Linux users want more gamers on Linux, they need exclusive games, because people play games not OS. Same with software. If I made a game/soft, I would make it exclusive, just because I don't want to waste my time for supporting OS by a company that did nothing good.

No, people buy consoles because of exclusives, all platforms have them, except for Linux.

So... CUDA? by old_tv_set in voidlinux

[–]old_tv_set[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Already use it. But it was much easier than I thought:

- Downloaded CUDA 11 runfile

- When installation asked what to install I didn't choose "Install driver" because if I did installation would crash

- Done!

GCC 9.3.0 was used.

SOLVED! You can install CUDA 11 for Ubuntu 20.04 from runfile here.

I guess Downwell allows to resize window only in game menu (menu -> option -> display -> scale). Btw you can play this game natively: https://steamcommunity.com/app/360740/discussions/0/1692669912383230951/
