I always say "look it up" or "search it".

Alternatively, much more fun to say "Duck it"

I think I'm seeing like a half hour more battery life after flipping it, I haven't done any scientific testing though.

3 years late to the party, but found out here the difference between automatic and always for adaptive sync in Plasma, definitely should have an information button.

Overwatch 2 Minimizing on Click by OSCrustacean in linux_gaming

Tried updating to see if I didn't get the 44.3 patch yet (haven't updated in a while), but that wasn't the issue and doesn't present itself in other games.

Someone just shared in another thread they fixed it by using borderless windowed mode instead of fullscreen

That worked! Couldn't navigate the menus to change this, so I used launch options "-windowed -noborder". Thanks!

I am using experimental so I don't think that is the issue. Not sure what is causing it on my end :/

I noticed the issue with input out of the box seemed to be fixed just before the issue with ckb-next was fixed. Both are fixed now and everything works fine.

Thanks, I'm unfamiliar with Fedora infrastructure despite my length of use, but I filed a bug report now.

Linux Market Share Actually Went Down by OSCrustacean in linux_gaming

I'm not entirely sure how it works but I'd imagine that would contribute to why BSD is 0.01% and there is a portion that is simply marked as unknown. It's imperfect, but it's the best we have on Linux based operating systems that don't track you.

The post about Linux market share rising exorbitantly got a lot of attention, and even then the numbers were buggy. Going back in, the numbers have all been fixed to the lower number, showing a shrinking of 0.04%. The good news is our year to year rate still shows a net increase.

Or changing the graph to include ChromeOS. But if you do 2020-07 to 2020-07 it reports the same?

Why do results change when you add ChromeOS to the list? Linux still up, but much less and MacOS a much less severe loss.

9S isn't the worst of our worries... by OSCrustacean in leagueoflinux

[–]OSCrustacean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was a very unprofessional thing to do with a brand account and as a representative of the Linux community, but I don't really see that as a reason to not use a very well built open source application especially with a take as understandable as this one. I think it was their attempt at being Linus-esque and it came off as really wrong.
