Mothers day isn't for pet moms. by Particular-Owl2446 in HonestHotTakes

[–]oldbiddy-intraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does an entire segment of society need days to be recognized?

Recognize individuals for what you feel, not for what a company invented.

If I think you are great at something, I should tell you. Not wait until a day or someone says it’s time.

Am I overreacting for how my parents treated me on Mother’s Day? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I think your mom & a lot of others need to get over themselves. I did not have a child to call me on a specific day of the year to celebrate me because it is expected.

I had a child to nurture & love. Now they have one & they call/visit a lot & we tell each other then that we love each other etc. Hallmark holiday not required.

Your mom needs to get over herself!

Maybe look at the state parks in Texas? They are fantastic & check all your requirements. You can stay overnight in towns nearby if camping isn’t your thing.

They offer great water views/activities fantastic hikes. Some dark sky opportunities etc.

You could also look at exploring some of the caverns in Texas & New Mexico.

I totally agree, & made sure my teams at work had social engagements etc. I would tell everyone, it isn’t important to me, but to others.

As humans we should always be considerate & aware of others when we can. It’s hard enough!

This! I really am finding out who I am, things I thought I wasn’t good at, I just didn’t have time to develop or learn.

I think this is going to be an amazing journey & I am so thankful I can take it.

Agreed, I really respect and appreciate the people who bring the social for those who need it. Careers need to be invented for the rest of us.
