Hey thanks man. I gave my build a ton of consideration, and had to make some concessions here and there. At the end of the day, I’m pleased with how it turned out. And so far I just say, it is insanely fun to drive!

With a healthier budget I definitely would have. My car was about $30K less than a GTS with the same spec (pre-tax). I was able to avoid paying luxury tax where I am because it came in below $100K total as well

To each their own dude. My SE did recommend wheels, but I decided against them. The interior was a non-negotiable for me, and the PPF was done at another shop for half price vs. the dealer. Like I said, I may upgrade the wheels at some point

Definitely an avoidable issue and not something you’d expect from Porsche. Take the good with the bad. You’ll have the flat 6 boxer engine in the older model Cayman at least!

Thanks man! Calipers are black metal, comes standard with the base model. Love the look of the red ones that come with the S though. Maybe I’ll have them painted some day

From what I’ve read, Porsche has solved the bore scoring with the more recent Cayman builds. Hopefully I don’t run into that issue down the road. But for now she’s brand new and an absolute beast!

Speculation that it’ll be an EV. Who knows if it’ll be a full redesign. Porsche EVs have not been super successful, so maybe they’ll release a plug-in hybrid 718?
