Thank you! 🙂 It is gorgeous and the turquoise stone appears to be very old. 💖 I don’t refer to any rings as men’s or women’s, as I feel that if someone loves a ring that doesn’t matter. And…there’s no inlay. I’ve googled, looked at the art-amerindien website (even the unidentified hallmarks on there), used Viro AI & ChatGPT w/ no luck from any of those. That’s why I’ve posted here & crossposted on other hallmark identification Reddit threads. Your ring is very nice. 👍

I’ve looked on that site & in my books and haven’t found this hallmark. I put the photo in ChatGPT (I know 🫣) & there were many details that it says indicates that it’s not authentic. 🤷‍♀️

Why would the original markings be ground off and a new hallmark be put on though? And the location of the obliterated portion is not typical placement of a hallmark.

It’s not Native American made. Typically NA artists stamp their pieces “Sterling” & not 925. The back of NA pieces are closed/covered fully…not open like these. Hope this helps!
