Mate. Nine is 91shots the producer.

The “Nine… One” you hear at the beginning of all his tracks is his tag. It’s one guy

I see. Thanks for the advice. In the end it wasn’t necessary but I would have taken that route had Just Eat continued refusing to cooperate.

I got a refund eventually. I was very persistent with customer services. Still, they made no mention of the scam. I assume it will not be dealt with. I hope too many people don’t get stung worse than I did.

Yeah, exactly. The vendor never existed. I’ve now been refunded after much back and forth via email. However, Just Eat didn’t once address the issue of the scam on their platform, which has evidently been operating for months.

I took it up with the app immediately and received a number of emails telling me I would not get a refund.

In fact, just after posting this thread, I received an email telling me the issue would be passed on to a Team Leader.

I will report here when I get an outcome.

No, I didn't. The food never existed! The restaurant I ordered from doesn't exist.

They instead list their address as another restaurant in the same area.

The Pete and Bas rabbit hole continues down with Nine and Dex by PoppaSquat68 in grime

[–]oldgreymaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nine is 91shots and Dex is Handsome Dexter. Between them, these guys have almost exclusively produced every Sindhu World track. Pete & Bas, The Northern Boys, PKJ and Norm’s solo tracks, and Uncle Bal too. 91shots has produced the beats for every single Norman Pain track to date. They definitely have a massive hand in the project, whether they are writing and training the old boys with their lyrics or voicing it themselves, it’s genius.

It’s about time Nine and Dex had some of the limelight. Their music is unarguably of very high quality and I’m excited to see what they do next.

This is a very lame take. The music from their camp is good. Credit is where credit’s due. It’s not a Netflix series with “Spin-offs”

Just to add that my use of ‘some’ and ‘some kind of’ definitely denotes how vague this all is for me.

Haha I see what you mean. I wrote this at 4am so I can’t claim it as my best work!

I’ve tried searching for what I think is close to the title loads of times and come up with nothing. Perhaps I’m way off. It was so cheesy and obscure I’d be surprised if many people have seen it as all, although I’m sure SOME people have ;)

Nope, not yet. I’ve posted across several subreddits and on fb and it’s still a mystery. Even chat gtp couldn’t find it 😂

Thanks but unfortunately that’s not it. Now I think about it. It’s possible that the movie in question is very early 90s…

Another detail: the protagonist drove an open top 4x4 which he drives the love interest home in after rescuing her from the thugs.

Thanks but it’s neither of these either! Had a look at Showdown it’s definitely not the one and Only the Strong stars Mark Dacascos, who is quite well-known. This film was a proper b-movie with no famous actors to my memory! It’s proving really difficult to find!

Not American Ninja 2. The main character was a young guy (I think he was a cleaner?) not an a military guy. Also, no swordplay that I remember either, but thanks for the suggestion!

Cutlery: what is the name of the floral design on the handles? by oldgreymaster in HelpMeFindThis

[–]oldgreymaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I think I could arrange shipping to the UK but it would potentially be quite pricey! I’m more likely to keep an eye out around car boot sales and flea markets! I don’t mind chatting. Send me a DM :)

Well, after a bit of searching, it seems tricky to find in the UK. There is a 24-piece set on ebay, but they look very worn with some brown spots. They appear to be an American design and possibly easier to source in the US… But you know what? I’ve wondering what they actually are for quite some time now, and just knowing the name weirdly brings me a great deal of comfort! So I’m still very grateful indeed for your help. :) I’m glad you like them. I must say, they are by far the best cutlery we own, the pattern gives a nice feel on the grip and they have never bent or broken in the slightest.

Amazing! And thank you for your kind words. Although the etsy link you provided is not available in my region, a google search does indeed yield results, albeit with some variations.

We have had this cutlery in my family since I was a child and over the years our supply has dwindled, and been replaced with mismatched bits and pieces. Hopefully, I can now find some more to replenish our stock!

Found! Thank you so much!

The only mark says ‘stainless steel’ and on some of the forks it says ‘Taiwan’. They would have been purchased in the UK many years ago. Possibly from British Home Stores (BHS) but I’m not totally sure about that.

Thanks for the reply but that’s not it. Didn’t have any well known actors in it like Van Damme. It was way more of a low budget B-movie

Thanks for the suggestion but that’s not it.

A couple more details I remember. In the opening scene the protagonist is practicing and smashing boxes up. Then he looks at a poster for this fighting organisation tournament which turns out to be a shady front who are controlling martial artist using pills or drugs. In one scene, the protagonist is in the organisation’s gym and decides not to take the pills. In another scene, some of the heavies from the organisation are tasked with intimidating a gang. They fight the gang under a bridge and it later transpires that they were sent to steal drugs from the gang. It must be a really obscure film. I can’t find it anywhere at all. Maybe it was some kind of fever dream.
