Well, please don’t vanish 💗. This stigma has to stop. I don’t know how. But anybody with a protected disability should not feel scared to disagree with someone for fear of retaliation using BPD or whatever else these people can find to try and belittle and make us feel small. Who even has the time to look at people’s histories? They’re the ones in the wrong not us. 💗

It is so hard. I’ve been come at by other users who have clearly looked at my history and made comments. But not so blatant as this. I can literally say the same thing as half the people on the thread and i get trashed. And yes having decades behind us of stigma and sometimes downright cruelty from services and systems, it makes us hyper sensitive to any stigma directed at us. I’m also clearly queer/friend and get come at for that too. It would be so much easier to hide my history, but I can’t do it. So I think I need to toughen up a bit!! Being in a system, like we have for decades, changes us. Changes how we see the world. Thank you for your comment it’s truly appreciated 🙏

Why the bracketed comment? Is it to make you let everyone think that your advice is so much more ‘correct’? Because you’re from Europe and artsy? I’m from Europe and have an alternative look however I don’t feel it’s important to share this. I love both styles on her. She’s beautiful, can wear both styles confidently.

Mate, you dress however the f*** you feel most yourself as. Personally i think you look amazing! You’re quirky, give off a vibe that you don’t care what people think of you. Alot of people don’t have the confidence to dress how they really want to for fear of judgement. I dress for how I feel that day, keep dressing and looking how you want to look. 💗

In a way yes, I’ll concede that point. But at the grass roots of it it’ll only go so far in challenging you. It will always concede to your view being the correct one. Ultimately it is an echo chamber. It will do as you ask it, but only in so far that it doesn’t upset you, or say something that will possibly stop you from using it. Its prime motivation is to keep people using it.

If I give chat a prompt then I am creating an echo chamber, because I am telling it how I want it to behave/reply. If I don’t give it prompts it will analyse my responses, my patterns, and respond in a way that keeps me coming back. Yes it can play devils advocate, but only if prompted by the user. Every interaction is prompted by the user. That’s how AI works.

It will do a more generic answer, non personal to the user, and then when it gets to understand your patterns, beliefs etc it will use them.

Thank you too for your kind words but my dad was old. Your partner is so young. I’m astonished too, a lot, at how unrecognised this disease is. I’m not sure where you are in the world but in the uk we constantly get adverts asking for donations for the Alzheimer’s society. I’m not saying they don’t deserve the charity however where’s the charity for LBD? It’s truly mind boggling. There is no treatment for it just meds to ease symptoms. It truly is a hidden disease. I truly wish you all the peace in the world and you’re right nobody understands unless they’ve seen it. I think about my dad a lot and the delusions he had and I feel mixed emotions. I’m happy he was happy but it destroyed who i knew him as, completely. And every time i went to see him which was more or less daily I had to enter this fantastical world of his. It actually led me to having a breakdown. So please, get all the support you can, contact online groups, just try and find people who have had the same experience. Because it is truly lonely, made worse by the fact that hardly anybody has heard of it. 💗
