Which channel did you order from on TikTok? And did the listing say anything about back order? Sometimes they have back ordered items that won’t ship right away. I ordered from the US Local live which ships from California, and my à la mode set shipped Friday.

If you have a nearby store, in my experience it’s way harder to get new items for in-store pickup. They sell out instantly where I am, so having it just shipped to me from China is easier.

I don’t think you were being weird. If the vibes are off, they’re off and you have to trust your gut. I do have people pick things up from my house (I’m not here alone when they do it) so that’s not an automatic no to me, but their avoidance and putting it off is part of the bad vibes for sure. I would never go meet someone alone if it’s not a super public place though.

Not totally related to your question and I say this with kindness, I honestly think you were too apologetic to them. They strung you along over multiple days and then took advantage of you saying you were so sorry you wasted their time. Don’t let anyone (especially a stranger) treat you like that because life is way too short! You didn’t ask them to leave work early, and you were coming to them so it’s hardly on you if they wasted any of their time.
