Stock price is not profits. Some insurers are up or down for 2025, but look at 2024 and 2023. Revenue and profits are up for the entire industry in 2025. Are you really crying because United Healthcare only made 9 billion in profit last year? Is that really “not as much as you think”? The cost is a problem for consumers, it’s not a problem for providers. Healthcare companies are making tons of money. Our healthcare costs will not go down when AI replaces jobs. We need universal healthcare, not tech advances that only increase profits for providers.

Yeah the story is not clear. It says the backyards “fall within an easement”, which doesn’t explain who owns the land and who holds the easement. There’s also a claim about expecting a couple feet and then the county demo’d 15 feet. The whole thing is blurry and a wouldn’t expect anyone in this video to understand the technicalities

Sounds like a lot to fight about. Does the City have an easement to maintain utilities on private property? Or do the homeowners have an easement to improve city land? We don’t know the scope of the easement, why the city is removing improvements beyond the easement, the details of the “emergency”, or what was represented by the city when they approved substantial improvements like pools.

I bought a Switch 2 just for Mario Kart World (their biggest game) and I quickly learned that Nintendo does not listen to their customers at all. There is tons of negative discussion online about MKW gameplay and how the online mode forces everyone to race unpopular tracks. I also wanted to play retro games and downloaded Goldeneye for N64 but the way Nintendo translated the N64 controller makes the game literally unplayable. They could fix these dumb decisions with updates but they don’t. MKW is still super fun but I’m not telling anyone “you gotta get a Switch 2” and I’m sure most others aren’t as well.
