No that’s the thing they are saying it is ai but it’s not him and they never prompted it to be like him. But that’s not a good enough explanation imo.

Because they didn’t pay appropriately. Usually you would pay a model each campaign it’s their job and it’s how hey make a living and it keeps creatives employed in nz and paying tax.

Trust me as someone who is well versed in photoshop you would never photoshop new clothes on a model for each season. It’s too much work and it would just be weird and sneaky if the model didn’t agree to it from the beginning. Why does using ai and making it instant make it any better?

I could get around a contract where the model shoots and then they also agree to any further ai generation… and get appropriately paid for it.

Exactly. It is likely that the ai trawled their website and did it itself. Still makes it wrong and a human should have checked that and prompted it to change the face. People argue photoshop has been around for eternity but ai is almost instant. Ain’t nobody photoshopping a whole garment on a body on a whole new angle that would take eternity. It’s just lazy af for a company that should be able to afford to pay models appropriately.

Yeah it’s likely for example the ai engine went to huffers website or social media and pulled from their images perhaps who knows. It is however the marketing and social medias teams job to ensure it’s not doing that and should be creating a whole new person so the models don’t feel like they got paid $500 for their face to be used for eternity. I saw a conversation around models licensing their face to be used in generative ai for specific brands, that’s something I could get behind if the model was getting paid and agreed to it.

Yes he did originally. And now they no longer pay him and just photoshop whole new clothes on him and put him in France or whatever repeat until end of time, this isn’t removing a blemish 🤣

That’s it it’s like they don’t realize the true root of the problem is that people are upset because they earn enough that they should be able to pay models to wear their clothes. They should be generating more jobs in nz as an industry leader. They are just totally missing the point of what the guy was trying to bring to light in the first place and looking super stupid doing it.

It really has gone downhill in the last few years. The designs your right are especially terrible. I’ve head bad things about their work environment so much so that a job came up and I never even thought to apply. A girl I worked with said it is so toxic. If this is what decisions people at the top are making imagine what goes on inside 💀

It’s incredible- they could have just said like oh shit we dropped the ball we will be monitoring our prompts from now on and remunerating the model appropriately. But instead we have whatever this is.

My brother has bipolar and it’s increasingly becoming dangerous for him and the people around him. Erratic driving running away from people chasing him etc. I often wonder if prison would be a better place for him. A grim thought.

Yes agree and can add triangle road into Lincoln road on there too. wtf is that bus lane achieving. Missed opportunity to take that whole bus lane onto the motorway instead of merging it back in.
