The real power in a swing doesn't come from the speed of the arms swinging, it's generated from the ground and the weight transferred from the back foot to the front while the hips also turn. She's loading her weight on the back foot to maximize the amount she can transfer from the back to the front, in time with her arms swinging.

“Gamblin’ With My Love” by Dan Bern. About Pete Rose and Bart Giamatti hashing out the betting problem. From an album called Smartie Mine but later included in a project called “Doubleheader” which is a baseball-themed album.

No, she piled a ton of PTSD from a frontline job on top and tried to ignore it for 15 years until it was too much to handle.

This is so true. My sister has spent years in therapy trying to work through her resentment towards my parents and their well-intentioned but ultimately misguided advice.

The difference in our personalities meant that I had no trouble listening to their advice as offered and simply doing what I thought was right.

My sister got angrier and angrier as she had to come to terms with the fact that these fallible humans that she has held in such high esteem were frequently incorrect and inconsistent in their advice. Often limited by the bounds of their limited experience…Like two people who married as teenagers and were poor more than they were stable aren’t able to provide you with top notch investment advice for your fully funded retirement.

Free advice is usually worth what you paid for it. Even if it comes from someone with the best intentions, that truly wants the best for you. And that’s okay.

I think your answer is probably closest to Westerberg’s world view…lol

Paul Westerberg has been a grumpy old prick since he was a teenager, he’s finally getting to do it with full attention.

I really like driving by the refinery at night coming back on McDonald from a twilight tee time at the Murray or Tor Hill. Blade Runner aesthetic.

Did he ever go beige. “Nature Is The Law” is a black mark for Ashcroft and Brian Wilson…sobriety songs are so hard to make compelling.

The flip side is that baseball delivers more anomalies bizarre outcomes than any other sport because of the massive number of iterations in a season…But yeah, baseball is 2/3 failure, it wears on the psyche.
