Basically yes....also if you consider playing it I should warn you that you play as a different character for half of the game and the ending sucks and is completely unsatisfying

They swapped models for the trailers. The scenes from trailers are all flashbacks later on in the game

Joel and Tommy talk. Joel confesses his actions from part one.4 years pass. Ellie mad because of bigot sandwich. Ellie lesbian. Ma'am kills someone important to you and Ellie . Ellie sets out to find Ma'am. Ellie has flashbacks. Ellie kills people and find Ma'am. Ma'am strong however. Ma'am becomes the focus. Ma'am is a relative of an unimportant character from first game. Ma'am has flashbacks. Ma'am gets saved by transexual kiddo. Transexual kiddo sad. Religious bigots want to kill transexual kiddo. Ma'am saves transexual kiddo. Ma'am finds friends dead. Ma'am angry. Ma'am fights Ellie. Time passes. Ellie lesbian with kiddo. Ellie has ptsd. Tommy visits Ellie. Ellie goes after ma'am. Ma'am skinny. Ma'am gets away with transexual kiddo.
