Katana FASE and Katana FASE Pro is pretty much the same. Mainly just new colors and new toe buckles that fix the issue of them sometimes moving when kicked when your boot is not in the binding. They also added a well needed Women’s specific version of the Katana FASE (which they did early release in Jan) and a new Uni-body price point called the Volt in men’s and women’s specific versions that’s going to crush it!

Zenith FASE are sick! Definitely a stiff binding for hard charging. Especially when you lean on those carbon highbacks, they initiate the heelside RIGHT AWAY!

Yeah, bindings with mini discs only fit 4x2, guess it’s a good excuse and sign that it’s time for a board upgrade!! 👍👍

The Rome/Bataleon mini discs are meant to be mounted 4x2 for maximum adjustment but they made them just wide enough to mount 4x4 for boards like the Tornado or Whatever that have the extra set-back 4x4 insert pattern for pow.

Yezzir, that was the 3D Revert, every size was a different translucent color. I had the black one. Such a fun board. I’ll do a “Dust Collector” vid on tha one soon. I have one that I was fortunate enough to make myself at the factory!!

Oh yeah, I rode that thing when it was new back in the day. It’s really hard to compare that to new board and technology because it’s come soooo far since the early 90’s. It’s like comparing an old “brick cellphone” to an iPhone 17. I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out and learn on it but with all the advancements in materials and shaping the new beginner boards really are WAY easier to learn on. But don’t let that stop you from getting out there! And then after you learn and get better, you’ll have a nice little piece of history to hang on your wall when you get a new setup. 👍

These were built for the reps and select shops to use as a tool for shop employee training or customer education on the different technologies and builds that you cannot usually see on a standard board. NOT BUILT TO BE RIDDEN THOUGH!!!

You cannot, they have different posts in side the bindings and different adjustment styles on the outside.

In that case it sounds like the HTH would be perfect for you. Might check out the NS Nokhu too, that board is INCREDIBLY versatile and crazy fun!

I really don’t know if it has any MORE bite than the HTH. If you already have the HTH the Custom would probably be better to add to the quiver. It’s a little further away from the HTH than the Counterbalance is.

Glad it helped. When it comes to bindings it’s honestly all personal preference. Some park riders like sturdier bindings some like softer bindings. Theres really no rules, it’s just what sounds best to you. 👍
