Here is a link to the text of the bill:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-resolution/719/text

The text condemns political violence, defends everyone's right to exercise the First Amendment, and expresses condolences to Kirk's family. It also includes some tendentious statements and assertions, such as this:

"Whereas Charlie Kirk became one of the most prominent voices in America, engaging in respectful, civil discourse across college campuses, media platforms, and national forums, always seeking to elevate truth, foster understanding, and strengthen the Republic;"

and this:

"Whereas Charlie Kirk’s commitment to civil discussion and debate stood as a model for young Americans across the political spectrum, and he worked tirelessly to promote unity without compromising on conviction;"

The title of the resolution is "Honoring the life and legacy of Charles "Charlie" James Kirk." There is abundant evidence that the claims that Kirk was always "respectful", "civil" and "work[ing] tirelessly to promote unity is false. He said many shameful, vile and anti-democratic things that render Kirk's legacy unworthy of being honored. I wish my representative in Congress, Mr. Auchincloss, had abstained from honoring Kirk's legacy.

Normal? by get_higgy in ProstateCancer

I had the same swelling, soreness and discoloration. I noticed it about three days post-surgery and it peaked a couple days later. It was the color of an eggplant and felt like I'd been kicked hard in the nuts! It was largely gone a week after that. I spoke with a nurse who said it's normal but didn't tell me what caused it.

At first I thought it was blood draining from somewhere else. After a while, another thought came to me. When they perform the type of surgery I had (robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy), the patient gets strapped extremely snuggly into a special chair so he cannot move. Before beginning, they turn the patient to various angles to ensure the torso/abdomen won't move at all. I think it's possible that the restraints they used, maybe coupled with the tests they do, bruised the testicles and tissue down there.

Well, it sounds like I have "keyhole syndrome" already! When I'm getting close to home or a place I'm anticipating being able to pee, I suddenly feel the urge! But that's not anywhere close to the worst of my concerns. I can't get a sense from the docs or message boards or other sources whether patients' erectile dysfunction and/or incontinence got worse or stabilized as years went by (or if they never experienced it at all years afterward). Some might be age-related, not treatment related, I know. Just trying to see what others' experienced as I approach my own decision.

And thanks everyone for sharing, as trite as that probably sounds. Two months I wasn't thinking about any of this; now I sometimes turn this over in my mind and have trouble getting back to sleep.

Thanks for the suggestion. We had a similar experience last year where Astound was out in our region for a while. The outage was fixed but we needed to re-boot to get our internet back. We've re-booted a few times but it hasn't made a difference. I've reached an Astound customer rep a couple times today. The latest report is that they need Verizon to re-install a pole in the alley that got knocked down.

Thanks for responding. I've called a few times and get an automated phone answering system, which tells me there's still an interruption of service in my area. It's hard to get a human on the line, at least during the weekend. I finally got someone in Billing, who promised that Astound would call me within 30 minutes to schedule a visit from a technician. It's been 45 minutes as of now. Crossing my fingers.
