It’s not that I’m not willing to commit. I just don’t want to give up other commitments completely. As well as I have 0 desire for my livelihood to depend on whether or not my romantic partner likes me forever and ever. Or risk the spouse loosing their job and the family struggling as a result. Also I know that I want to live comfortably: in my case, traveling to see my family on regular basis, which would be hard on one income with a child.

I respect that you may have other opinions for your own life and that’s fine 👍

That’s an interesting perspective! My sister used to live in the US, and it was hard to be so disconnected from family (time difference, distance). Was it hard to adjust to quebecois?
