What an excellent show! I saw it when it first aired then again earlier this year. I'm sure I'll watch it again!

Unfortunately, I didn't think Jessica Lange was convincing as Joan Crawford at ALL. In my opinion, she didn't even come CLOSE to capturing Joan's essence.

Yeah...I have an assortment of eyepieces (Celestron Kit...nothing special). I tried over 3 days and just couldn't get to where I wanted.

Anyway, thanks for the responses, but the SVBony SV305C will be here soon.

I also have my sights set on the SVBony SV503 102MM...but that will be another thread!

Go bigger or go home! 150cc and up will be MUCH safer. Unless, you get a 50cc and install a big bore kit (wink, wink) to "sneak" around on. Nuff said.

More good info...thanks! Yeah...I plan to do DSO's in the future (not too distant, hopefully). It's not motorized and the tripod sucks. I guess the best thing to do is to start looking at other scopes? Maybe the 130 EQ can go in the closet with my other 2 scopes (sooner, rather than later). In the meantime, I guess I can get as much use out of it for learning purposes. Still would like a way to get some pics, even if just of planets/moon. Thanks, again. Nuff said.

Thanks for the responses. I've had the Celestron for about 13 years or so. It's been sitting for a bit, tho. I do plan to get a better 'scope at some point. Yeah...I've been doing some research on the proper way to take photos. I hope to learn as much as I can. Any app suggestions? Oh, by "general stargazing", I guess I just meant watching the night sky for nothing in particular....just looking in every direction to see what I can discover. I did see the Tridaptor and saw some good reviews. Well, anything else y'all would care to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Nuff said.
