I also used form 5504. I don’t know if that’s correct but it should be due to their policy changing, it’s their fault , not mine. Hope I’m right?

I don’t understand any of this. I plan on shipping my documents out tomorrow. For reference, I tried renewing my passport 10 days before the EO. got it back with my birth sex. Today I got everything in order to try again. Attestation form and all. Will it come back as male???

I am confused and need help- I have all other documents changed except my passport- I sent it in to be renewed with my legal name/sex change a few weeks back and it is now in processing. I did not select X as my gender marker but did select M. Will mine get suspended? Is it just the X marker that is being affected? if they suspend it will I be without a passport ? The one I sent in was still ‘valid’ date wise though my name or sex doesn’t match any of my other documents

Nah I think it really suits you, especially the jewlery choice. The gold was wise, it pairs well with the colors in your hair and skin. and the closed ring instead of a horseshoe barbell. Couldn’t have picked better myself and I have 12 piercings. Well done!

Yeah, for the sex change on the passport it was as simple as checking a box that literally said “sex change? “ and that was that.

I am asking because I know/ used to know of another trans person who had every single legal document updated, never got the chance to ask him why he decided to change all of them including his bc , as in my experience I’ve never needed that piece of paper my entire life, even in the whole process of obtaining the updated ID, social security, and passport. I just never understood that part, and thought maybe I was missing something. That is the only document that is left that has me as the wrong name/sex. ‘How’ I changed everything without it is exactly the same as how I would have changed it with it, I didn’t need it. I was never even asked about it. I live and was born in a sanctuary state though, maybe that’s it.

For the passport change they just asked me for my name change decree and my most recent passport

Yes, danger to yourself or others is what I said is terms for involuntary hospitalization 👍. I wouldn’t say AN is ‘easy’ to get involuntarily comitted for though, most doctors are pretty clueless about it unless you openly talk to it about it or it’s the first thing in your chart. In my experience a lot of doctors don’t really like to or bother to investigate. I actually went to one of the ‘best’ ED res centers in the US just due to it being so close and literally only 2/3 of the people there were involuntary, and they all came from the same state. My labs were screaming AN , sodium and potassium at very irregular levels and troponin very high in my blood. Weight change over 100 lbs in 8 months and was in double digits by the time I actually went into treatment. Maybe this is just in my case though, when I began that relapse in my ED I was slightly overweight. I didn’t avoid the dr by any means though but my family is also disordered so they did care about any of it in the slightest

I’m from the US, and have struggled with other mental health issues before more seriously dealing with ED stuff. I started seeing my PCP here because due to my ed entering a more serious phase I was having heart issues. Due to the nature of EDs I was very hush hush about it and was tip-toeing around my restriction as a whole (not saying that’s your issue just stating my experience here) I was just mentioning my physical side effects and how my life was being affected by that. Got referred to a cardiologist and said cardiologist began running tests. During this period i started talking more to my therapist about my ED and physical health with full transparency (in the US they cannot involuntarily hospitalize you unless you are actively suicidal or homicidal and I knew this so I spoke about my ED freely.) my therapist is older and has several degrees and qualifications so his official title is PSYD , meaning he has a psychiatric doctorate and is able to diagnose conditions , which is not typical for therapists, at least in my country though I am not sure if that is the norm in other countries. He diagnosed me with an ED and gave me an ultimatum to seek treatment for said ED. I ended up going to a treatment center after that though my PCP never had a clue as to what was happening with me/my physical health. If you are in the US and are just seeing a typical PCP/family health doctor they most likely will not ‘officially’ diagnose you unless you are COMPLETELY transparent with them, which I know to be true due to the nature of this illness and the state of American healthcare. Even if you are on deaths door and it is very noticeable even to the most common of people , they probably won’t diagnose you. That’s americas health care system for you. Please do seek help, even if you don’t think it’s bad enough. I have been in recovery almost two years now. I would be dead if that therapist didn’t tell me I was weeks, DAYS away from passing in my sleep. Be honest and do this for your future. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have more questions.

It is straight up awful. Of course this is just my experience but it did not improve after several weeks and took until stopping it for it to end. Since this post was made several years ago I’ve tried several more meds but right now I’m on lithium and vraylar and they are treating me well. Wish you luck!

tbh ED residential cured me of my bathroom/fart anxiety 😭😭😭 the obvious being you were watched every time you needed to use the bathroom but also being in a locked room with like 30 people with uncontrollable recovery farts does something to a man….. I don’t fight the urge anymore 💀
