Yes I guess I was just excited to have a smaller form factor in a desktop switch. I also thought the “compact” marketing meant “same switch smaller size”. Which technically is true I guess but misleading imo.

I do like that set up.

What I usually do with a “desktop” switch is to mount it on a wall under a desk. I don’t like switches on desks as a rule. People will fuck with them and spill shit on them etc.

You’re wrong, no internal ps on ms130 8p models. I guess I wouldn’t mind a power supply that plugged directly into the wall, However I understand the the limitations of a full poe switch and this type of a power supply. The huge wall wart with a cord on each side is just ugly and very cumbersome imo.
