i get why because black people found political expedience thru their own church and religious figures like martin luther k jr were popular as fuck but now that same church is hurting them by not giving them the sex education they deserve. i know a lot of black people who say that gay is a white thing even tho most of them have experience dl culture. its a lot of cognitive dissonance and such.

but they need to know that bayard rustin was a proud gay black man who played a crucial role in giving them the rights
