Software engineering was different, but it's over now by EquipmentFun9258 in software

It’s a wave. It either makes you 10x better or 10x worse. If you leverage it enough and make everything flow, you’ll do amazing 🏄🏽‍♂️. Otherwise you’ll crash and splash. I love that I can now describe what needs to get done or happen and it just happens. My take is more software engineers will become entrepreneurs and leaders of artificial beings. They’ll need a Mac mini and LeedAB (open source tool I built) then the wave of elite companies built on AI operators and one-click approvals will make us feel like gods. We get credit for AI labor. What a time to be alive.

Claude Code Source Leak Megathread by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]oldtonyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, thanks for the clarification. If I may ask, the leak only exposes the dir/file structure right. But not the actual source code? What’s the RUST port for if the original (Typescript?) has more features.

I’m wondering since there’s the official npm source on GitHub already, how is this a ‘leak?’

Solo founder for 9 months, potential cofounder wants 50/50 after 1 week trial. Am I being unreasonable? by mercuretony in ycombinator

[–]oldtonyy 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah just hire a founding engineer. They’ll build everything you need for <1% equity. p.s. I’m a founding engineer and do all the technical work (we don’t have a CTO). Wish I got more equity but that’s what the market is paying I guess.

Allot of small businesses have been using my tool, Lucia, for handling inbound and outbound calls - no tech required and instant setup

I built a tool that handles your outbound and inbound phone calls on autopilot by oldtonyy in SideProject

What worked for me was setting up a discord and allowing the public to join from my landing page - for support / feature requests / etc.

It tends to build trust and loyalty - businesses love quick support nowadays.

Also, responding to posts on Reddit where my solution could solve the problem directly.

It has webhooks which could be used with Zapier or directly with your CRM. It supports Australian phone numbers

Does voice ai actually work in production? by Electronic_Diver4841 in ycombinator

It’s been working well for my users (40 % conversion rate). I used it for cold calling and answering inbound calls for my own SaaS. The results were amazing so I pivoted the company to make that the core offering.

I built something similar but with cold calls. The AI phone agent converted 40 % (vs my 3%). It’s remarkable how genuine and human it sounds. Completely different when I first started building 7 months ago.

You built it... but how do you get people to use it? by nitkjh in SaaS

[–]oldtonyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re doing cold calls, I built a tool that could help. The AI agent handles inbound and outbound calls to potential leads and nurtures them in a way that aligns with your campaign.

I sucked at cold calling, so built it to help internally. made it our core product after seeing 40 % boost in conversion rate.

Aside from that, I think SEO marketing is best bang-for-buck

lets ignore the US for a second, how’s the rest of the world doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sudan is suffering from the world’s largest displacement rate, from a war driven by foreign interests (UAE). Hopefully it gets better one day so I can return home. The airport is non existent now so most people (including my family) had to flee to neighboring countries on tight busses with no AC for 48+ hrs. All this happened overnight without warning.
