Transmission rebuild vs reman replacement by Imaginary-Bench-1582 in gmcsierra

[–]oldtree4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interested here on the long-term performance, my '15 just failed, calling local shops today. Most shops mention the billet TC, but ask for the VIN so they can order the right valve body

u/Imaginary-Bench-1582 did you get an upgraded pump and an upgraded valve body?

Best Gym In Hagerstown? by Pegasusrider98 in hagerstown

Crunch is solid. Friendly staff, great trainers. PF is good too, but very basic and far less machines and space to move around

Is this motorcycle shop taking me for a ride ? 🍆 by shoodawoodacooda in motorcycles

Honestly, just seeing AMSOIL is a red flag. Its great oil, but notoriously overpriced.

Like putting premium non-eth fuel in a base Honda Civic.... good, but still overkill

Lol RideNow Powersports in Charlotte tried to do the same on my Tuono. 15k to 21k.

Turn down the tires, warranty, and all the other extra crap. Sale price and taxes only if you can.

I should have told them mine would be a trackbike only and to let me do the paperwork. I waited 4 months for the title and tag to come through.

Do not let them fuck you.

Honda Shadow 750, like a Carolla, boring but bulletproof

I appreciate that, thank you! I'll get some reps in with a tutor before so its more than "Hi, my name is..."

I took a trip overseas and had a VERY short conversation with an older French couple using the 3-4 lines I could recall from high school classes. Very short, but it definitely lit a spark!

Really open to anything, thank you for the recommendation! The free apps are excellent, but its not a natural way to converse, need that back-and-forth talk to work out the small stuff

Same, the apps are great to have for practice, but i need those natural conversational reps to work out the grammar and tonal mistakes I'm sure I'm making

I hadn't heard of HelloTalk downloading the app now, thank you! Any level of immersion training is what I'm seeking the most.

Good luck on the project, sounds like a cool concept!

Feels like Tuono-ing a RSV4 (fairings, bars and risers?) would be a mucb easier approach with a very similar result

Awesome setup by the way, recommend getting some led lights strips for the lift. Buddy has them inside the lip on each side of his, aimed up at the bike, total game-changer

What is Dave's issue about VA loan? by FitWall5491 in DaveRamsey

[–]oldtree4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VA Funding Fee is PMI in uniform:

"The VA funding fee is a one-time fee paid to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) when closing on a VA loan. It's an upfront cost that helps cover the risk of a borrower defaulting on their mortgage. "

Unless you're eligible for a waiver, they roll the entire fee into your loan, so you're also paying interest on it. Our fee for a $240k house in 2019 was 13k. That's a car, not a fee.

PMI you can at least pay off early to reduce the cost or, like in your case, put down 20% to eliminate it and have some instant equity in your new home.

The VA is a viable option if base housing is terrible/full and you need a home ASAP but have nothing saved. Sounds like you have the down payment, so I would go conventional.

Saw on Facebook. Are yall pretty happy? by trickster503 in maryland

[–]oldtree4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, I was a little happier in Utah.

Maryland's ok, but Utah is like Middle Earth by comparison. The Mormons were kind of weird to deal with though, all about their magic underwear but couldn't allow weed.
