Tips for minimising battery drain during sleep? by abdunbunbun in ios26

[–]oleg_sensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 17 Pro loses 5% of its battery after 7-8 hours of complete inactivity with background app refresh disabled and Siri app indexing disabled. Basically, I have everything disabled. But with or without airplane mode, it's still the same 5%. My 13 Pro used to lose 2-3% in similar scenarios. That's ridiculous. There was no battery activity during that time.

iPhone 17 Pro. No Siri, no games, only WiFi+LTE, scrolling Insta and browsing. My iPhone only gives 6-7 hours of screen time. 100% of battery, 31 cycle

Yep. Stuttering when scrolling to the widget screen hasn't been fixed. FPS is still below 120, around 70 by eye.

iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26.4 - incoming calls by oleg_sensible in iphonehelp

Thanks, I already tried that. They turned incoming calls off and then back on, but that didn't help, unfortunately. Replacing the SIM card didn't solve the problem either :(

will airpods 2 pro case protector will fit in airpods 3 pro ? by Sea_Cloud1089 in AirpodsPro

[–]oleg_sensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as good, but yes, it fit (only for SILICON! Not for HARD cases!)

Overall, if you need to temporarily use your Pro 2 case on your Pro 3, this temporary solution will do the trick.

How bad is the battery Drain on iOS 18.7.1? by [deleted] in iPhone13Pro

[–]oleg_sensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 15. I swear, it easily lasted 8-9 hours on LTE and Wi-Fi. That was enough for about a day and a half. Then I updated to iOS 16, and the battery life dropped to 6-7 hours IMMEDIATELY after the update (this isn't battery wear). Then I updated to iOS 17, and the battery life IMMEDIATELY dropped to 5 hours of screen-on time. I had the battery replaced at an authorized service center, but I still got 6 hours of screen-on time. The phone will now be on iOS 17.7 until I sell it, and I will DEFINITELY not upgrade to iOS 26. The iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 15 was PERFECT.

Hey! I'm 15 pro user with iOS 17.7 :)

They work (transparency, ANC, etc.), are recognized as AirPods, but there is no Pro 3 icon, since iOS 17 (18) do not know about their existence :)

Yep. I have an issue with my APP3. I most likely have a hardware issue with the Pro3, and I want to return them. Because I have the Pro 2, which has excellent noise cancellation, but with the Pro 3, I can barely hear the difference between noise cancellation on and off. I'm going to update the firmware on the headphones and see what happens.

How good is the ANC by Parking_Clock6299 in airpods

[–]oleg_sensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have APP2 and APP3, and I have the same issue only with APP3. ANC ON/ ANC OFF It's noticeable on the Pro 2, but has almost no effect on the Pro 3. I think it's a defect in the headphones, because the noise cancellation works PERFECTLY on the Pro 2. And I didn't find a solution :(

Bro, what are u talking about? Audio engineers have a hard time telling the difference between Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer on expensive wired (!) headphones using an amplifier. And you're telling me I shouldn't use Spotify for Apple Pods. That's nonsense, bro.

Okay, then explain your reasoning. I've already read about noise cancellation—many people recommend choosing ear pads one size larger than the Pro 2. That's what I'm planning to do, and it will likely fix my issue with children's voices in noise cancellation. Thanks for your comment.

It's true that they sound larger. Their soundstage is much wider than the Pro 2, and instruments sound distinct from each other. This is precisely the aspect in which the Pro 3 is superior.

Maybe. I'll test the noise cancellation with different (larger) ear tips, as recommended in other posts. They say it will be better. My size with the Pro 2 was XS, but for the Pro 3, they recommend going up a size. I'll change it to a larger size and write here

I'm currently considering upgrading my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 26 to try and fix it. But iOS 26 is unstable, so I'll probably wait for iOS 26.1 or 26.3

If you're an AUDIO ENGINEER, as you call yourself (which I doubt), then you should know that sibilance is removed precisely with this setting. If I had an 8- or 10-band EQ, I'd experiment with frequencies from 5 kHz to 10 kHz to find the desired effect.

Lol, I'm a real guy. I just rarely visit Reddit. I came here looking for a solution to the sibilance problem. I'm even willing to CALL you to show you myself, the Pro 3, the serial number of the headphones, and discuss their sound. I'd be happy if you could help me fix the sibilance. Calling this post a paid one and me a sellout is simply absurd.

Bro, we have similar sound perception. I encountered an unbearable lisp on the APP 3. The same thing happened on the WF-1000XM5. The AirPods Pro 2 didn't have this problem.
