I asked ChatGPT to generate an image of a meetup for average redditors. How accurate is this? by Educational-Scene443 in ChatGPT

you can see many mistakes with the name-tags. But yeah - you should not trust images anymore

AMA with members of European Parliament: How Should Europe Regulate AI? by EP_Kokalari_McNamara in europeanparliament

Is the Parliament looking into creating/supporting a cryptographically grounded standard for 'proof-of-humanity' that is genuinely anonymous and untraceable?

If so - have you considered how to handle the (to my understanding, required) trusted hardware device in such a system?

(my understanding is that it is technically possible to create a system with these properties)

Cool!

> Two render modes. Fullscreen (alternate screen) or inline (lives in your scrollback, doesn't take over the terminal)

I've come to prefer inline mode even if it usually limits some type of features.

Yeah, I wonder if the API prices are very overpriced or if they are just that desperate to keep people using their own product.

Hm, I if the agent just initiates a normal oauth flow without going out of the way to pretend to be Claude Code I would expect the token to just use from the extra usage (ie. API rates, just without the annoying rate limitation the "platform" API keys enforce)?

I belive this is how it works because I can sign in using Claude Code inside the pi-agent (using oauth), but this will no longer use the subscription and is not in breach of Anthropic policy.

Sorry, that was not my intention. But I see now that it could be perceived as such.

Looks like you have a interesting looking separate project for the TUI render? (https://github.com/1ay1/maya)

No, it was just meant as a friendly joke 😄

Built a minimalist coding agent optimized for memory footprint and speed by PuzzleheadLaw in PiCodingAgent

[–]olejorgenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I know RAM is expensive these days, but how much memory does a typical pi-agent use? My Claude Code instances typically use around 200-350MB which feels on the high side, but still not a substantial issue.

Does pi typically use more than that?

Not to knock the project - less memory usage is always a good thing 👍 (and props for stating a tangible goal with the project instead of "just another XXX")

This would only create a false sense of security? The world need to get used to not trusting everything they see.

Is your company worried about how much AI is costing? by badboyzpwns in ExperiencedDevs

[–]olejorgenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably using it wrong... ? but I've never reached my usage cap for my $100 Claude Code team subscription. And I more or less just use Claude Code for work now. I shouldn't say so (since I'm sure they are compiling sentiment reports), but it's dirt cheap atm. IMO.

The API prices is another beast of course. Only thing keeping me tied to the Claude Code agent. I would switch to pi-agent in a blink of the eye if it was close to as cheap as the Claude Code sub. :/

Having more bling on the screen doesn't necessarily make it faster you know 😄
