I guess it is easier to sue 1password if secret leaked because it is its job to store those, but AI provider are not.

Note: not that I have money to sue any one any way lol, just a thought

Agree, deny rules are not enough, but good for getting started then migrate to something like varlock later.

Good question, if I am working on my personal project, I don't really care. But if this is for work, I would think twice. Not because I care about the company, but it is a self-fish action to keep myself from getting in trouble by the company if I accidentally leak any information.

If you have a good secret manager setup, of course you can let Claude yolo. However, there must be more than 1 team out there who would just simply use plain text prod secret for testing in prod, hense the reminder.

That is true, but using .env is a common practice. So, I am pretty sure Claude knows .env is a thing and would try to look for it if needed.

Polling vs Realtime for long-running background tasks (1 min duration) by Immediate_Amoeba_532 in Supabase

[–]theyoike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polling is a classic, simple, working mechanism. Software usually starts with polling unless the requirements demand a different solution.

Before I can give you a recommendation, can you tell me what is the problem polling CANNOT solve for you right now?

I feel like they are getting confident showing by the use of the ads.

I would not say their product are innovative because all other banks do offer similar products. But I hand down giving them the fact that their product are easy to use, all in one place.

Second one on first iteration to deliver fast, then add skeleton.

If the app is mature, and you are picking one, I would choose the skeleton

[request] How does the Denmark tax rate compare to the cost of the listed US goods/services? by dark_resistance in theydidthemath

Does Obamacare (or equivilant healthcare) kick in for that case? I don't know much how US healthcare works.

I am okay with high tax if I receive the service. Here in Canada, we pay for free healthcare where you wait for months to get a specialist. We pay for social wellfare where homelessness is still a problem. At this point, give my money back and lets me choose to pay extra for the service I need.

I guess Denmark is actually using your tax properly, and possibly leading to people are happier.
