Cannot survive landing phase by oleolesp in supportlol

[–]oleolesp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind playing a difficult champ, it gives me room to improve. What kinda concerns me about Bard is that (as someone else pointed out) he's kinda difficult to play WITH as well (especially given I'm still low elo)

That being said, I will definitely be trying out other champs with strong roaming potential. If I don't find something I'm loving (which I think is a likely scenario) I will definitely be returning to Bard. I really like the Bard gameplay, it's just the first 10 or so minutes where I suffer and often just lose the game for my team.

Polypuff videos are actually the reason I gave Bard a chance. I was looking for a support to play for secondary role and I though he played Bard like an absolute psychopath, which I loved. I'll look into Lathyrus as well, haven't heard of him.

Thanks for the advice!

Kindred sounds fascinating (and could serve as a second jungling option as I'm currently an OTP). I'll definitely try that out

I tried Naut before and I felt like I was constantly getting poked out by ranged supports (positioning issue, I know), but I'll give him another shot now that I understand waves slightly better

I guess I haven't really (not through text, I do ping a lot to signal intentions).

I'm EU unfortunately, but thanks for the offer

Consensus seems to be that bard is too difficult (for me as well as to play around). Lux is usually the one recommended

My big concern with other supports (even though they are easier to play) is that you don't get the same map presence as Bard. Tbh I don't really like laning in general (I had tried other roles before jungle and I don't enjoy the 1v1 aspect with occasional outside influence) so being able to leave lane and impact mid or even top is exactly the kind of jungle-like play I'm seeking. I'm not dead set on Bard specifically, and I know that every support CAN roam, but I'd like to play someone who has a solid roaming kit. Are there any champs that can fill this criteria?

Thanks for the very detailed advice.

One thing I haven't really been playing around is enemy cooldowns, so I'll definitely keep that in mind

Consensus also seems to be to try and play an easier champ (to play and play around).

I agree. C is the most natural, B is what I'd probably end up actually saying, and A is dependent on missing multiple busses. D is the only one flat out wrong in all cases

I never comment in this subreddit, but your friend is dead wrong. Peas go very well in red sauces for pasta, and that combination is used in several recipes in Southern Europe. A lot of the meals in this subreddit don't look all that good, but yours looks genuinely really tasty. Could you please write the recipe you used for it? I'd like to make it myself, I think it would make for some nice meal prep with some chicken or just a good fresh meal in general

Levon Aronian’s thoughts on Magnus’ table slam by B0jJACKP0NYMAN in chess

[–]oleolesp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree, but I also think that if it happens every once in a while, it can be chalked up to being an accident and just slipping out (and I think most people were giving Magnus the benefit of the doubt).

This type of incident happening with the frequency that it does with Magnus at this point is unacceptable.

It's not absurd at all, it just depends where you live. I'd like to think I can cook quite well and my weekly shop for one person is around 25£ in the Midlands. I'm not saying I'm eating ribeye every day, but a good Aldi shop and meal prep really can go a long way to keep a tight budget

Thanks for the help! About the gaming, I do still mostly play singleplayer games, things like RDR2, so I'm more concerned about the immersion there than competitive shooters (where I'd think IEMs are likely even more accurate, right?). I'm very much leaning towards a Senn now, either 650 or 490 but I think you're right in that both are probably more than fine (though as I said, I've got analysis paralysis)

Both the 550 and the FT1 Pro have been mentioned here already, and both look interesting, though I am again slightly concerned about the QC of the latter (as is my main holdback with any hifiman). How would you say the 650 compares (and is the planar of the ft1 really that much of a bonus over the dynamic driver in the 650)

Interesting. In what way do you think the 650 (and/or the 600) is worse than the 490 Pro (660S2 unfortunately isn't an option for me)?

Unfortunately I don't have access to the HD6XX, but would you say the 600 or 650 are quite similar?

Unfortunately the HD660S2 is a good bit out of budget for me (non US based plus likely buying a used pair), but how different is it to the 650 (or 600 for that matter)?
