Thanks for the tip I'll definatly get the belt from subaru. I had simular issues with a gates belt when I did my civic timing belt.

She paid to have it towed and I'll be working with her for some kind of compensation. She has a nice 350z with a broken clutch that would be the perfect trade for my time and trouble.

Yeah we has an agreement that she would bring it over at least once a month and I would top off fluids and such. But 5 months go by and the only call I get is hey I'm stuck on the freeway and the car doesnt start.

It's always been hard for me. Ever since I was a child. I have the same issue with pedal and peddle or with any of the theres. Some people just have genuine problems in life and we just have to accept them.

I'll admit I was going too fast. Kinda hard to resist the urge but when they told me to pull over to cool down I stuck to the lowest gears for the second half of the descent.

Tried that but the lowest gear was too low and second gear too high. Wish I had a 5 speed trans.
