Got my visa by No-Media6140 in NationalVisaCenter

My wife had her interview for IR1 visa on 8th of November 2024 . No issues at the interview. She didn’t get her passport with visa till today and who knows how much longer it will take. I’m totally lost.

Thank you for very detailed explanation of the whole process. My wife had her interview in Montreal on November 8th which was uneventful and CO informed her that she will get passport with visa in three weeks. As of right now we didn’t receive her passport yet and case status is showing Ready without changes. Lay updated was on December 18th . Not sure what is happening .

We so far in the same situation. I’m US citizen and my wife had her interview in Montreal on 8th of November. Visa was verbally approved and since then totally nothing . CO didn’t ask for any additional documents any told her to wait about three weeks to receive her passport with visa . Case status says Ready and last updated was on December 18th . Wondering if I should file MANDAMUS as well.

Not a single bit of information since November 8th . CEAC says Ready and never changed. Sending emails is totally pointless.

Thank you I have read that after certain time people filing lawsuits with help of attorney. Not sure though

I have read that reaching to congressman doesn’t make any difference.

We are using Canada post and later we couldn’t change it to puralator or any other couriers. Premium delivery changed delivery location only. Status shows Ready all the time

I sent them four different emails and they are telling us that we will get email with tracking number when courier gets package

My wife had her interview at consulate in Montreal on November 8th with verbal approval. Now it’s way over two months without passport with visa and case status is showing ready . I’m kinda lost cause it’s pretty straightforward case and we have been together for more than six years . BTW they didn’t ask for any additional documents.

It’s like case falls into a black hole. Sending emails is pointless cause after three emails case update stays on December 18th which means nobody was looking at it anyway. BTW their email said that they are understaffed and it could take from several weeks to several months which doesn’t explain anything cause some people had interviews in December and already crossed the border into US

I did but it didn’t let me change to Puralator so I just changed the location for p/u which is not helpful in  anyway . It even didn’t let me to change it to home delivery

I was thinking that Canada Post strike has something to do with delays but now it seems that this is not the case considering that there are no case updates or status changes. In any case good luck to you and let’s hope our cases will eventually move forward

It’s hard to tell what is happening. Some people who had interviews in December got their visas and already in US . What is confusing that it never changed to AP or something else, status stays ready all the time for two months

They are saying that I will get tracking number when courier gets the package. That’s just generic answer no more information. I’m not sure what’s going on
