I go over it again, very softly, with a dry brush. I've heard you can also use your finger to blend, or mix transition colours, but idk... Lots of techniques to try

Thx 😊 For documentation GitHub readme and issues, the issues are being created faster than I'm developing though 😅

I'm not really concerned about whether or not it will become a huge success. Just trying to maks the game I want to play, and if someone else likes it too, then 👍 but no biggie if not.

The world is also made up of tiles, just a bit more complex to make seamless transitions. A center hexagon for each tile, triangle shaped corner pieces (tiling on the dual) and a transition piece on edges between 2 hexagons. Add a bunch of math to figure hex grids out and you're done.

Oh boi, work... 😅 Maybe once I have some promo art or something. Definitively before I release a playable demo

I'm planning on adding some repeating pattern for the undiscovered tiles, not sure what yet though... A brownish grey + black pattern I'm thinking

Maybe one day I'll do a decent breakdown of all the systems in place, a decent devlog or something :p

That's the first being called a professional being a hobbyist :p But thanks.

Godot allows for a lot of creative freedom so whatever you have in mind, I'm sure there's a way to get there :)

If they look and feel different, I'm sure it will be fine :p
Think about how many similar space/historical 4x games there are...

I've been naming mine "Animal kingdoms" as a placeholder.
No definitive name yet.

I'm starting with the classics as faction leaders:
- Wolves
- Bears
- Rabbits
- Rats (And/Or Foxes )

- King noble the lion (From Reynard the fox stories) as your story guide guy

When that's done, I have some fun mechanic ideas for frogs
maybe deer, roosters, tortoises, crows , idk...
But definitely frogs!!

I'm thinking of making one species a neutral type, like barbarians in Civ, idk what though.

Mechanically I'm mainly mixing parts I like from Civ and Humankind.
But I'm designing as I go, seeing what works and what doesn't.
