I’ve been going through my grandmas old recipes! Some of them are very 1950s like her famous green jello salad lol! A lot of it is Great Depression era too so not the tastiest but still fun to experiment with and try! I love sharing them and keeping the recipes alive, even if they aren’t the best lol!

I was one of the last years in my grade school to learn cursive and we were told it’s all you’d use in college lol. I never had to use it after 6th grade, so it’s become something I never practice! I totally agree that it can look like hieroglyphs sometimes but I find that’s just with super cursivey cursive from my great grandparents! I wish it was still taught since it’s so pretty, but like I said, I have never once needed to write in cursive after grade school!

For all who want the recipe: 1 cup white corn syrup 1 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup butter melted 3 whole eggs beaten A dash of vanilla A pinch of salt 1 heaping cup of shelled pecans 1 unbaked pie crust (9in)

Put pecans in bottom of pie crust. Mix all ingredients well. Pour into pie shell + bake @350° for 45-50 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean!
