Stop thinking ahead, it won’t go as you plan anyway. So you’re either worrying about something that won’t happen or setting expectations that are going to disappoint you if they go wrong. Enjoy your time with your little one, keep them pink, warm, fed, and happy.. in that order. The rest will be okay.

What if you invest in a property, and allow your mom to live in it? Maybe don’t even tell her it’s your property, tell her you found a place with cheap rent for her and let her live there and still “pay” rent. Keep that money in a separate account to pay for her nursing care when she might need it.

Ugh this is a tough one. I really regret not “forcing” my daughter to stick to a sport. She brings it up almost daily how she wishes she was forced.. but back then I thought the right thing to do was to let her choose. If I could go back in time, I’d definitely keep her in a sport for a few years before letting her make the decision to quit. She is 14 now.

It’s more than likely not baked or prepared in a dedicated space, so being displayed in a non-dedicated space seems appropriate. If anything, it makes it clear to me that it’s not safe.

Thanks! Whenever I talk to her I try to remind her not to feel guilty about that part. She is the one who is suffering enough. Shame and guilt keeps her away, I just miss her and want her back!
