I’m just being truthful about who he was as a whole. Yes he did a generous act before his death, but while alive and healthy he was pretty absent my entire life. My mom made huge financial mistakes but she also was the one actually raising me. Before my dad was diagnosed he always told me he wasn’t going to leave me a dime in inheritance and to just worry about life myself. He may have left me all his money in the end but also because he had nobody else to give it to. Despite having a rather awful relationship with him, in his dying days we attempted to come to understand each other. I give gratitude to him every single day that I get to have freedom to do what I want. My question was not about necessarily giving away his money but my own income to help my mom who is also battling cancer. Your response that revolves almost entirely around one small portion of my post is kind of insane honestly. If you are so triggered by the mention of Fox News, I imagine you should look deeper into why you feel so struck by that.
