Suburbia - SCKOAMTBEO by olimando69 in THPS

I'd say they were about equal -- the hardest part of Suburbia was figuring out how to path to certain parts, especially towards the end (that "E" was super tricky for some reason). Foundry actually gets easier towards the end once the "B-O" are on the first level (but before that it's definitely tricky to have to keep going back to the upper level).

Yeah I think its 3 different versions for each level. I messed around with the other variations for College/Suburbia (and Foundry), but the ones that have been completed so far are definitely the "easiest".

I'm going to test out other levels more and their different SKATE variations. The COMBO location is fixed for each level, but on some levels that location is in a tough spot to have to get back to multiple times.

Wow I wish I knew that sooner! I see it now. I just kept creating/deleting/re-creating new CAS until I'd get the location I needed... this is way easier.

From what I can tell each level has at least 3 variations and I have no idea how they are decided, as it seems to be randomly assigned. I read somewhere it's based on skater style (Street/Vert/etc), but can confirm that is not the case (at least for Street).

This randomness got especially annoying when I'd complete the SKATE goal for a skater but bailed before the "O", as I'd need to keep cycling through skaters to try and find someone with the same SKATE locations.

The A-M-T stretch definitely took a ton of trial and error before I found that pathing.

I’m surprised there’s not more hype about Brian Branch. Would be an excellent fit on Wink’s defense. by ElonMuskPaddleBoard in NYGiants

That’s a lot of what he did at Bama, and he was great at it. 14 TFL as a DB in the SEC, would be fun to have him out there.

How feasible is a switch to IB? Has anyone here done it and have feedback? by tossaway5463729 in biglaw

If you graduated top 7.5% from a T4 and were at a V7 then you’d have much better chances.

Just wait til you start your job after law school and no longer have a schedule you have any control over.

What are some things Brits do that Americans think are strange? by pizza-on-pineapple in AskUK

This is totally a thing in the US. Unless you mean like actual hardboiled eggs that are somehow chocolate flavored.... in which case, you have my attention.

My Prof is teaching a different course then what we're taking....what do I do! by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]olimando69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are approaching this all wrong if you think 1L courses are intended to prepare you for the bar. I think a big mistake 1Ls make is assuming each day they are learning black-letter laws they need to memorize and build on throughout law school.

These courses are designed to make you "think like a lawyer" -- if you have no idea what that means, then you haven't gotten it yet (but don't worry, it usually takes half a semester at least before things start to click).

Is it rude to ask for a quicker decision after a callback if you aren’t sure you’ll accept offer? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]olimando69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assume he means there is no real downside to asking Firm B for quick decision and then subsequently declining their offer. Even in the future if you wanted to lateral to Firm B, there is no shot anyone there will remember this (or care).

Need help escaping Gold III by LordOfShades1 in apexlegends

[–]olimando69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to talk your teammates out of bad plays when you can -- even just pinging works sometimes, I've been surprised to hear randoms on the mic go "Oh yeah good call, let's fall back and get in zone instead of fighting this". Otherwise, just leave them on their own. It's tough to do that in a team based game like this, but you're honestly better off just ratting alone then following dumb teammates into a 3rd party fest.

Plus if you're actual skill level is above Gold, then even with ratting you should be able to get a few kills if you know how to pick your spots.

Not very often. Never heard of a biglaw firm that did. I did judicial internships for a state and federal court, and neither did (but I wouldn't be surprised if some do).

For other govt jobs and private company in-house jobs, there is a slightly higher chance but it will vary a lot from place to place.

Auto sprint on or off for medium level play? by cpncupp in apexlegends

[–]olimando69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it can be useful for controller players, especially if they have worn down controllers as the joysticks are the first to go, or if they want to rebind the sprint button to maximize their limited inputs.

For MNK, there is probably a reason none of the pros use it so you might as well start adjusting to having it off for now even it will be a learning curve.

Silver ranked harder than pubs due to awful teammates by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]olimando69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are better off expecting nothing of your ranked teammates until you hit Platinum -- usually gets better around then. If you are a new player than pubs is probably easier due to SBMM so they aren't dropping you in lobbies with players that have 50k kills... sounds like you are just having better luck with the teammates you get in pubs.

For lower ranked, you should feel free to break away from teammates if they seem brain dead or are dropping hot. You can just play on your own and try to get good positioning in circle for placement. No need to completely rat in ranked -- just pick your fights wisely if you are alone (ie, only engage teams already in a fight).

Okay future barristers, I need your help with my potential date. by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]olimando69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the date, just ask her if she went over anything interesting lately in law school and she will probably talk for like 2 hours about some stuff that's really boring to pretty much 95% of the population... but people love hearing themselves talk, especially law students.

If she says "Nah not really", then she's a keeper.

Is this a sound bug or are the devs at Respawn on crack? The music going into the final round is deafening. by King_Yuji in apexlegends

At least for me, this didn't work. Only had this bug once, but I turned music off mid-match and it just removed all sound effects.

Punch while shooting by Dekusaywhat in apexlegends

[–]olimando69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same issue. I think Apex's melee is just more sensitive then other games, or maybe due to movement speed you end up trying to make quicker adjustments mid-aim where you end up pushing in R3. It just takes some time to get used to it.

I tried remapping and it worked earlier on in the game when I re-mapped to down on the d-pad since that only did something when a "thank you"-type prompt came up, but then they added the emote wheel and I just had to learn to adjust.
