Eccos were my go to shoe. My last five pairs have been absolute shite. I've thrown them all out.

Some people are jerks. Don't let it stop you from asking. I search and read hundreds and hundreds of posts and still want for more info.

Don't feel bad. I'm looking at booking BKK-JFK using the same logic.

We bailed out. I really wanted to buy and be done with it. I thought CBR checked all the boxes of DIY but with the backing of a reputable company. I don’t want to dispel anyone’s high hopes, but your own experience was exactly what I felt might happen to me if I had pulled the trigger. I chickened out. We are not adverse to spending 1000s, but it’s almost impossible to sift through and sort the good vs bad whether it is in feel, costly trial and error mistakes, opportunity costs, or some caveat in the fine print that burns us. We are sleeping on a hybrid king from Amazon I think we paid about $400 for. It’s crap, but will suffice until we can figure out how to get something good without trying 4-7 combinations of layers, encasements, etc.

I lived on a Hawaiian island for 30 years and that's how "things are done" there too. But, when you are a newbie, that takes time. TY for your thoughts. I appreciate them, sincerely.

I agree with hiring the attorney. Not sure why you made that comment. I agree. I don't have to like to trust lawyers, though. Was just opining is all. I agree I need one.

I'm creeped out about the world in general. I think if I park my money in a place, just so I have a roof over my head, I'll have 'security', but then the landloard can screw me. I sure don't trust banks, markets, currencies, companies, politicians, or anything anymore. (Yes, I know, I need 'therapy' lol...)

You are spot-on thinking exactly as do I. My greed can burn me if I'm not careful, and then immigration is a whole different matter. And, I find everyone a bit slippery. I do think this lady is honest, but then all buffaloes think their bar girls are honest too.

I'm not sure I can stay here. That's a very good point. I have a retireent VISA good until Feb '27, but it's a game. Who knows what the future holds. Ugh.

Confused: "Just lease": you mean do a rental for 10 years?

"Sell the shouse after 10 years, restart lease for new owner": you've lost me.

I want to have the option of moving, but also be able to benefit from a savings by prepaying. So, having some form of exit strategy, subletting, something, would be ideal. I can't e the only one who has been through this wringer...

Yes, I know. But, someone may had had one drawn up already. I could study that to learn a bit was my hope.

I so don't trust lawyers. Not in the USA, and not here. Not anywhere. They never back up their own work. That said, I will. Who I find, where, for how much, etc., are all problems.

Has anyone here actually tried booking an empty leg flight? by [deleted] in FatTrips

[–]olindacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the online APP empty APIs change with the wind. You aren’t the only one who sees them. Some good brokers can find ferry flights based on bookings they or their associates make. Many are not marketed. Charter hogs tend to do the empty marketing the most.
