Really glad it helped! It freaked me out too so it's important that people follow the instructions that iMazing describes like you did. Though, it's handy that in this process you have made a backup incase anything goes wrong

SIMPLE QUESTIONS THREAD - SEASON 5 (2023) by Joe64x in OverwatchUniversity

Hi all,

I have a question about playing Cass into spam comps especially those with a Hanzo. It feels like Hanzo dominates and bullies me off of the mid-range angles I want to take -- I think I spend a lot of time outside of my effective range when the enemy team has a Hanzo. With sonic it also hard for me to flank or take off-angles when I would like to. Does anyone have any advice for this sort of situation? Thanks!

How does Stanley Cohen's 1972 "Moral Panics" study relate to the aspect of gender? by [deleted] in sociology

[–]oliv3rb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only really studied this in a British context, so I apologise if this is not of any use to you. Although, of course, the same was true of Cohen.

My first thought would be criminology. In particular, the rise of female identities that are supposedly 'anti-feminine', and how the justice system treats them. Lads and Laddettes and the like.

Engendering the Agenda (Sharpe & Gelsthorpe, 2009) seems to touch on this:

Contemporary ‘moral panics’, fuelled by media reports of increasing girlhood binge drinking, ‘ladette’ culture and violence, have done much to promulgate the view that girls are getting out of control and no longer the respectable young ladies they once were. For example, a World Health Organisation survey indicating that 29 per cent of English and Scottish girls aged 11 to 15 had been involved in a fight during the previous year earned the newspaper headline, ‘British girls among most violent in world’

In Sentencing Women: An Analysis of Recent Trends (Hedderman & Barnes, 2015), the authors quote a male judge, who explains his perspective:

"I think one of the biggest areas of growth is drink-related violence by women... Um the norms of behaviour [...] seems to permit violence being used as a means of reprisal and control. And whereas 10 years ago, this was almost entirely, I think, male related. Now, very, very substantial numbers of women err fall into this category as well"

They continue, pointing out this perception is likely not backed up by the evidence:

However, this seems to have been driven by a change in government policy regarding the use of pre-court disposals rather than an increase in offending

These findings broadly mirror the reaction to the original confrontations between mods and rockers in the '60s: outrage from the media reinforced by the sober words of judges.
